I’m Saman Bagheri

The collection of images you can find on this website are a depiction of the unique nature and architecture in Iran which I have been striving to gather since 2006; and considering the fact that my own home town is the city of Shiraz, a noticeable number of the pictures are of the Fars province. The diversity of nature in Iran is so unique that in the radius of less than 150 kilometers there are four different climates, desert, mountainous, tropical and coastal. This diversity has also resulted in various culture and architecture in this country. For instance, perspolis, Arg-e Bam, Gonbad-e soltanieh have totally different structures. This diversity can be observed in the culture and the traditional life style of the Persians all along the way from the north to the south, from Khavaran to Bakhtaran.
I have been traveling to many places in order to take all these pictures yet, the number of places I wish to visit outnumber. All the pictures demonstrated on this website are only a glimpse on the landscapes of this vast country, hoping it can someday contribute to the recognition and preservation of all the natural and cultural wealth in Iran.
